Otto Staudacher and Gerhard Stocker founded the company STASTO together in 1974. The first company headquarters was an old flat in Gabelsbergerstraße in Innsbruck. The company traded in solenoid valves and compressed air fittings. The two HTL engineers Staudacher and Stocker alternated on a weekly basis - one in the field, the other in the office. The company was a success and the first employee was hired after just a few months. In 1975, STASTO achieved an annual turnover of € 0.21 million (ATS 3 million).
